    Project Description |
Tucked at the end of a charming laneway, this heritage home needed skylights and courtyard gardens to soften the heavy masonry. By incorporating the existing brickwork and preserving the rustic character of the frontage, we introduced garden beds in the foreground to create a gentle contrast with the backdrop. Over time, with deciduous vines allowed to grow along the face to further enhance the natural connection between the architecture and the landscape. The home's unique floorplan featured an off-centre entry through the rear garden. We leveraged this layout to our advantage by flipping the orientations, framing the entry experience with direct access from the laneway.
